About IMUA Keawe

What It Means to Live IMUA

IMUA means to go forward with strength, courage, and a strong spirit.

This is how Keawe has lived.

Keawe was diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma in 2022.
In May of 2025, his cancer was declared terminal.
But his life has never been defined by a diagnosis.

The IMUA Keawe logo represents a way of living—choosing to move forward with faith, even when the road is uncertain.

The crest symbolizes protection and strength. It reflects the courage to stand firm, trusting that God is present even in the hardest moments. Not a symbol of fear or aggression, but of resolve, dignity, and hope.

The arrow represents forward movement and purpose. An arrow is pulled back before it is released forward—reminding us that seasons of hardship do not mean we are being abandoned, but prepared. Keawe’s journey has required immense strength, but always with his heart and eyes fixed forward.

The waves represent endurance and faith. Waves continue to rise and move forward, no matter the resistance. They reflect the steady, unshaken spirit Keawe carries—meeting each day with perseverance, grace, and trust.

The cancer ribbon, placed between IMUA and Keawe, honors the reality of cancer while keeping it in its rightful place. Cancer is part of this journey—but it does not define the story. Faith, courage, and love do.

To live IMUA is not to deny hardship.
It is to move forward anyway—
with strength,
with courage,
and with a strong spirit rooted in faith.

This is Keawe’s story.
This is what it means to live IMUA.
